What is particular

We service the SF5291 freestanding freezer, the SIF5181 integrable freezer, Monolith fully integrated freezer columns (MF 1851, 2451, 3051 and wider) and the UF3651 undercounter freezer. Each has its own operating instructions, and the model name on the rating plate tells us which applies.

Messages instead of code tables

Touch & Swipe models show named warnings: Door alarm, Power failure alarm, Temperature alarm and Error. Only the Error message carries a number, and Liebherr asks owners to pass it on rather than interpret it.

A food safety line at 16°F

After a temperature or power alarm, the display can show the warmest temperature reached. Liebherr treats food that stayed below 16°F as still fit to eat, which helps us and you decide what to keep.

NoFrost with removable drawers

NoFrost handles defrosting on its own, and the drawers lift out for VarioSpace. Heavy frost inside a NoFrost Liebherr is a sign of a door, seal or defrost problem, not normal use.

Modes that look like failures

SabbathMode silences the door and temperature alarms and hides power failure messages, and on Monolith columns DemoMode switches cooling off entirely. We rule both out before diagnosing a warm or quiet freezer.

Parts

Door seals, drawers, fans and electronic modules are matched to the exact model and index number on the rating plate. Monolith panels and hinges are heavy built-in parts that can take longer to source.

Repair or replace

Integrated Liebherr columns fit a specific cabinet opening, so repair is usually the better path unless the sealed system has failed on an old unit. A freestanding SF5291 is easier to replace, which makes the age of the unit matter more there.

What does the Temperature alarm mean on my Liebherr freezer?
The freezer is not at the temperature you set. Touch the display to see the warmest reading; below 16°F the food is fine, above it check each item.
Does a Liebherr NoFrost freezer ever need manual defrosting?
Not in normal use; NoFrost defrosts automatically. The Touch & Swipe models also have a Start defrost cycle function for when defrost does not start on its own because of an error.
Why is my Liebherr Monolith freezer warm while the display looks normal?
Check whether DemoMode is on, since it switches the cooling circuit off. If it is not, look for a Device failure screen and note the number before booking.
Does Liebherr sell a chest freezer for homes in the US?
Its US chest freezers are commercial merchandising models for stores. For homes it offers upright, integrable, Monolith and undercounter freezers.
