What is particular
to Electrolux.

We see the Electrolux all-freezer columns with IQ-Touch controls, alone, paired with an all-refrigerator, or built in with the trim kit. Installation details such as the pairing kit, trim and dedicated outlets matter as much as the cooling parts on these units.

Designed to be installed as a pair

Electrolux requires its TWINSPAIRKIT when a freezer column goes next to a refrigerator or another freezer, and each unit needs its own dedicated circuit. A paired installation that shares one outlet is one of the first things we check.

Three alarm lights, three resets

DOOR OPEN, POWER OUTAGE and HIGH TEMP each have their own light and button. Knowing which one lit up tells us whether we are looking at a door problem, an outage or a cooling problem.

An ice maker inside the column

The ice maker is on by default and needs a water line from the start, or it should be switched off. A column that leaks or makes no ice often has a water supply issue rather than a freezer problem.

A DEMO setting that stops cooling

If DEMO shows on the control, the column has been left in its showroom mode and cooling has stopped. Holding minus and ICE MAKER for ten seconds clears it, no part needed.

Parts

Fans, sensors, gaskets and ice maker parts for the all-freezer are generally available. The control display and main board are model-specific and can take extra time to order.

Repair or replace

An Electrolux freezer column is almost always worth repairing, since most problems sit in one fan, sensor, board or ice maker part. Replacement only becomes the question with a sealed-system failure on an older unit.

My Electrolux freezer column says DEMO and the food is soft. What do I do?
DEMO means the showroom setting is on and the column has stopped cooling. Press and hold minus and ICE MAKER together for ten seconds, move the food somewhere cold, and let the freezer run for a day before judging it.
Why is the POWER OUTAGE light on my Electrolux all-freezer lit?
The column lost power at some point, and the light stays on so you know the inside may have warmed. Check the food, then press POWER OUTAGE to reset it; if it keeps coming back without real outages, book a visit to check the supply and control.
Do I need a kit to put two Electrolux columns side by side?
Yes. Electrolux requires the TWINSPAIRKIT for a freezer beside a refrigerator or two freezers together, and each unit should be on its own dedicated circuit.
