Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 456-4651

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Electrolux's own guidance for Sb on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press and hold minus and TEMP F/C together for five seconds to leave Sabbath mode.

02

Turn the ice maker back on afterwards if it does not resume by itself.

03

Book a visit if the column will not leave Sabbath mode or the display stays blank after it does.

Cleared?

The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem.

What not to do

Sb is not a sign that cooling has stopped; that would be DEMO. A dark panel with no Sb and no lights at all is a power or control question, not Sabbath mode.

What you may
notice with it.

The freezer problems Sb tends to arrive with. Answer these at the freezer before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

A setting the freezer was put into, often by accident or by the store it came from, rather than a part that broke: a showroom or demo mode that lights the display while the compressor stays off, a fast freeze left running for days, a Sabbath setting that silences the alarms, a control lock, a door alarm reminding you the door stood open. Nothing has worn out, and the freezer's own buttons or manual put it back.

In Electrolux's own words

Sb will appear on the appliance control display indicating the unit is in Sabbath mode.

Questions
about Sb.

Can I clear Sb myself?
Press and hold minus and TEMP F/C together for five seconds to leave Sabbath mode.
Will my Electrolux freezer column warn me in Sabbath mode if the door is left open?
Yes, through the HIGH TEMP alarm. It sounds after the cabinet has been outside its safe zone for 20 minutes, silences itself after ten minutes, and the HIGH TEMP icon stays lit until Sabbath mode ends.
Why didn't a power cut take my Electrolux column out of Sabbath mode?
Electrolux keeps Sabbath mode through a power failure on purpose. It has to be turned off with the buttons on the control.
My Electrolux freezer shows Sb and makes no ice. Is the ice maker broken?
No. Sabbath mode stops ice production. Leave Sabbath mode and the ice maker can run again.

Back to your everyday

Still showing Sb?

Book with the code or the alarm pattern written exactly as the freezer shows it, the full model number, and whether the food is still frozen hard — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
