We see the RZ11M7074SA convertible upright and the RZ11T7474 BESPOKE Flex Column with its colored panels. Both defrost themselves, so frost on the back wall points to a defrost part or a door that is not closing, not to owner neglect.

One cabinet, two jobs

Holding the Fridge button for three seconds turns the whole cabinet into chilled storage at 34 to 44°F, while Freezer mode runs from 5°F down to -8°F. When a Samsung 'stops freezing', the first thing we look at is which mode light is on.

It remembers the warmest moment

After an outage the display blinks, and pressing Temp shows the warmest temperature the freezer reached for five seconds. That single number tells you whether the food thawed before you throw anything away.

A store setting that switches the compressor off

Cooling Off, shown as oF, keeps the fan and lights running for a showroom floor but never starts the compressors. Pressing Temp, Fridge and Lock together for five seconds turns it on or off.

Made for rooms above 38°F

The manual gives an operating room range of 38 to 110°F. An unheated garage that drops below that in winter is outside what these cabinets are built for, which is worth knowing before blaming a part.

Parts

Fans, sensors and gaskets for these one-door models are usually easy to get. BESPOKE door panels are ordered by color and finish, and a control board is matched to the exact model suffix, so those can take a second visit.

My Samsung upright freezer shows oF and is not getting cold. What happened?
The cabinet is in Cooling Off, the store display setting, where the lights and fan work but the compressor never starts. Press and hold Temp, Fridge and Lock together for five seconds to leave it, then give the freezer several hours to pull down.
Why is my Samsung Flex Column blinking after the power came back?
The blinking is the temperature warning for an outage or a first start-up. Press Temp to see the warmest temperature reached, decide about the food from that, and book a visit if the cabinet does not settle back to its set point.
Can I keep a Samsung convertible freezer in my garage?
Only if the space stays between 38 and 110°F, the range Samsung gives in the manual. Below that the cabinet may not hold a freezing temperature, so a garage that gets cold in winter is a poor spot for it.
Is my Samsung upright set to freeze or to chill right now?
Look at the Fridge and Freezer buttons: the mode that is active has its LED lit. If Fridge is lit, the cabinet is holding 34 to 44°F on purpose, and switching it back takes a three-second press on Freezer.
