actually means.
oF is how Samsung's one-door convertible freezers show Cooling Off, a mode meant for store displays. The fan motor and the lights keep working, which makes the unit look alive, but the compressor is held off, so the cabinet never gets cold. It is switched on or off by pressing Temp, Fridge and Lock together for five seconds, which is also how it gets turned on by accident.

Each step comes from Samsung's own guidance for oF on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Press and hold Temp, Fridge and Lock at the same time for five seconds until oF leaves the display.
Move any food that has softened to a working freezer or a cooler with ice while the cabinet pulls down.
Leave the door shut for several hours and check that the Freezer mode light is on and the set temperature is back.
Book a visit if oF will not clear, or if the compressor still does not start once the display is normal.

The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem.
What not to do
oF does not mean the compressor or the control has failed; the unit is doing exactly what the setting asks. If the display is normal and the cabinet is still warm, the cause lies elsewhere, such as a fan, the defrost system or the sealed system.
