The Garage Ready uprights and the manual-defrost chest freezers on GE's site carry GE branding. That is where a stand-alone freezer in a garage or basement usually comes from.
Model numbers tell the story
GE's own freezers start with letters such as FUF or FCM. A model number that starts with P on a GE Profile label points to a refrigerator instead.
