Holiday mode for up to 90 days

Holiday mode can be set for anywhere from 1 to 90 days and keeps the freezer at about 0 °F while saving energy. It stays set through a power cut, which surprises owners who return to a column still in that mode.

Once a year the column asks for its condenser to be cleaned, and the coil sits behind the grille below the door where owners rarely look. On a column that runs long, dust on that coil is one of the first things we check.
