What T1H
actually means.

T1H is the G5 alarm for high zone 1 temperature. On single-zone units such as the freezer drawers, zone 1 is the cabinet itself; Perlick’s checklist points to the door gasket, a dirty condenser, a blocked front grille, a sudden change in room temperature or warm product recently loaded.

What to do when T1H shows on the freezer

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for T1H on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press on the frozen food: move anything that is softening to another freezer or a cooler with ice.

02

Check that both drawers close and seal, that the front grille is clear, and clean the condenser coil if it is dusty.

03

If you just loaded warm product, wait 24 hours and check again; book a visit if T1H returns within a week.

Still there?

It usually turns into freezer thermostat and temperature control repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

T1H is not a sensor code; a failed zone probe shows as P1F. It is also not the long door-open alarm, though DO2 can lead to T1H.

What you may
notice with it.

The freezer problems T1H tends to arrive with. Answer these at the freezer before anyone is booked.

Questions
about T1H.

Can I clear T1H myself?
Press on the frozen food: move anything that is softening to another freezer or a cooler with ice. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What is zone 1 on Perlick freezer drawers?
On single-zone G5 units, zone 1 is simply the cabinet temperature. Both drawers of the freezer model share it.
Can an outdoor Perlick freezer show T1H on a hot day?
Yes. Perlick names a sudden change in room temperature as a cause. Shade, a clean condenser and a clear grille all help before you call it a repair.
How long should I wait before booking a visit for Perlick T1H?
Perlick’s rule is to book service if the alarm repeats within a week. If food is thawing now, do not wait.

Still showing T1H?

Book with the code or the alarm pattern written exactly as the freezer shows it, the full model number, and whether the food is still frozen hard — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
