What P1F
actually means.

P1F is Perlick’s zone 1 probe code. Without that probe the control cannot measure the freezer compartment reliably. Perlick asks you to acknowledge the code and book service if it comes back within a week.

What to do when P1F shows on the freezer

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for P1F on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Acknowledge the code on the display.

02

Put a thermometer in the freezer and check it over the next day.

03

If P1F repeats within a week, book a visit to test the probe and its connection.

Still there?

It usually turns into freezer thermostat and temperature control repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

P1F is not a warm freezer alarm; that is T1H. It is also not the evaporator probe, which reports as PEF.

What you may
notice with it.

The freezer problems P1F tends to arrive with. Answer these at the freezer before anyone is booked.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Perlick G5 undercounter models with the touch display, including the G5 Luxe 24-inch freezer drawers (URS24E61). The code appears in Alarm History, which keeps the last ten alarms with date and time.

Questions
about P1F.

Can I clear P1F myself?
Acknowledge the code on the display. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
What does acknowledging P1F on a Perlick do?
It clears the alert from the screen. It does not fix the probe, which is why Perlick wants service if the code returns within a week.
Can a Perlick freezer keep running with P1F?
It may, but temperature control becomes unreliable. Check the food with a thermometer until the probe is replaced.
Is P2F the same as P1F on Perlick?
No. P2F is the zone 2 probe on dual-zone units; single-zone freezer drawers use zone 1 only.

Back to your everyday

Still showing P1F?

Book with the code or the alarm pattern written exactly as the freezer shows it, the full model number, and whether the food is still frozen hard — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
