Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 456-4651

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for DO2 on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Close the door or drawer and make sure it seals.

02

Start a manual evaporator defrost from the display; it will not start if the evaporator is too warm or Quick Cool is running.

03

Check the food nearest the opening, and book a visit if the cabinet does not recover within a day.

Cleared?

The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem.

What not to do

DO2 is not a broken door switch if the door really was open. It is also not the high temperature alarm, though a long opening can bring on T1H as well.

What you may
notice with it.

The freezer problems DO2 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the freezer before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

A setting the freezer was put into, often by accident or by the store it came from, rather than a part that broke: a showroom or demo mode that lights the display while the compressor stays off, a fast freeze left running for days, a Sabbath setting that silences the alarms, a control lock, a door alarm reminding you the door stood open. Nothing has worn out, and the freezer's own buttons or manual put it back.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Perlick G5 undercounter models with the touch display, including the G5 Luxe 24-inch freezer drawers (URS24E61). The code appears in Alarm History, which keeps the last ten alarms with date and time.

Questions
about DO2.

Can I clear DO2 myself?
Close the door or drawer and make sure it seals.
Why does Perlick want a defrost after DO2?
Humid room air freezes onto the evaporator while the door is open. A defrost clears it before it blocks airflow.
How do I start a defrost on a Perlick G5 freezer?
Swipe to the standard defrost icon on the display, select it and confirm. Automatic defrost resumes afterward.
My Perlick will not start the defrost after DO2. Why?
Perlick says it will not start if the evaporator is too warm or Quick Cool is on. Wait for the unit to cool, or turn Quick Cool off, and try again.

Still showing DO2?

Book with the code or the alarm pattern written exactly as the freezer shows it, the full model number, and whether the food is still frozen hard — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
