What TCH
actually means.
TCH is the G5 alarm for high condenser temperature. Perlick’s step is to clean the condenser coils as described in the maintenance section, and to book service if the alarm returns within a week.

What to do when TCH shows on the freezerKind of codeFans and airflow
A fan that should have been turning is slow, stalled or stopped. Inside the cabinet, the fan pushes cold air off the coil and around the food; at the base or the back, a second fan cools the condenser so the compressor does not overheat. Ice rubbing on a blade, a package pushed against a vent and lint wrapped around a shaft are cleared before a motor is ordered.

Replacing the fan that spreads cold air through a frost-free freezer, or the one that carries heat away from the condenser near the floor.
Shows up asFreezer Error Code
A freezer error code appears on the display: letters and digits, a flashing temperature, or a warning symbol, sometimes with an alarm and sometimes with the freezer still running.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Perlick's own guidance for TCH on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Turn the unit off with the rocker switch or breaker, then clean the condenser coil as the manual describes.
Make sure nothing blocks the front grille, where the machinery takes in fresh air.
Turn the unit back on and book a visit if TCH repeats within a week.

What not to do
TCH is not a failed condenser fan code; that is FCF. It is also not the extra high version, TCX, which Perlick sends straight to service.

Still showing TCH?
Book with the code or the alarm pattern written exactly as the freezer shows it, the full model number, and whether the food is still frozen hard — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
