actually means.

On current Marvel undercounter freezers, HH appears in the display when the compartment temperature stays above the control setting for an extended amount of time. Marvel does not give an owner fix beyond contacting service, but the usual causes are an open or poorly sealing door, a blocked grille or a cooling problem.

The freezer measured a cabinet warmer than it should be and said so, sometimes with the highest temperature it reached while nobody was looking. The cause can be as simple as a door left ajar or a long power outage, or as serious as a compressor that stopped. Keep the door or the lid shut and check whether the food is still hard before anything else; the alarm is a warning about the food, not a diagnosis.

It can, since high ambient heat makes the freezer work harder. Check that the grille is clear and the unit is out of direct sun before assuming a failure.
