What VAC
actually means.
On the ML24FA, VAC means vacation mode, which Marvel also uses as its Sabbath mode. The display, alarm indicators, tones and interior light are disabled, while the compartment temperature is still controlled at the earlier setting.

Remember that alarms are off in this mode, so check the freezer yourself after any power outage.
Book a visit only if the freezer is warm while VAC shows, since the mode itself keeps cooling.

The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem.

VAC is not an error and does not stop cooling. A power outage will not turn it off either; you must exit it by hand.
