What Dormant Mode
actually means.
On GE FUF uprights, holding Control Lock and Turbo Freeze together for 3 seconds puts the control in Dormant Mode, which hides the settings. They reappear for 30 seconds when a button is pressed or the door opens; holding the same two pads again turns the mode off.

If the display stays dark when the door opens and the freezer feels warm, check the outlet and breaker, then book a visit.

The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem.
