Prewar co-ops where a freezer column or freezer drawers came in with a renovation the board approved, and a freezer that stops is repaired on the building's schedule for contractors and the service elevator. ## What Upper East Side does to a freezer. Upper East Side housing comes in three layers: residential buildings from after the Civil War, mansions and townhouses from the start of the 20th century, and the apartment buildings that followed. From the 1950s, with the els gone from Second and Third Avenues, high-rises took the place of the tenements that had lined them. The city's longest heat wave on the Central Park record ran twelve straight days at 90°F or higher, from August 24 to September 4, 1953. The most recent 100-degree day at Central Park, which bounds the neighborhood on the west, came on July 18, 2012. [All of New York Metro](https://freezerrepair.center/locations/new-york/) ### Tower living Defrost water from a freezer column in a condo has one route, a tube to a pan above the floor, and if that tube clogs the overflow runs under the cabinets toward the apartment below, so a small puddle at the toe kick is treated as urgent in a tower. ### Apartments and small homes In a small apartment the freezer is often a compact upright in a closet or a hallway nook, where the heat it gives off through its walls or rear coil has nowhere to go, and a closet door kept shut all day turns that nook into a warm box the compressor never catches up with. ### Older housing stock In a cellar the freezer shares the air with a boiler in winter and damp foundation walls in summer, so it meets two different rooms in one year, and a unit that ran fine in January and struggles in July is sorted between the room and the part. ## A visit in Upper East Side.
