U-Line freezer display What to do when EH shows on the freezer ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting the freezer was put into, often by accident or by the store it came from, rather than a part that broke: a showroom or demo mode that lights the display while the compressor stays off, a fast freeze left running for days, a Sabbath setting that silences the alarms, a control lock, a door alarm reminding you the door stood open. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Leave the door shut for a few hours so the freezer can pull down to its set temperature. 02 Check the reading on the display later in the day to make sure it is falling. 03 If the temperature stays up after several hours, book a visit. ### Cleared? The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem. ### What not to do EH does not report a heating or high temperature problem, even though the letters might suggest it. Leave the door shut for a few hours so the freezer can pull down to its set temperature. ### I saw EH on my U-Line freezer. Is something wrong? No. EH simply confirms that showroom mode was switched off and cooling has resumed. ### How long does a U-Line freezer take to cool after EH? Several hours, depending on how warm the cabinet got and how much food is inside. U-Line suggests letting the unit reach its set point before loading. ### Why did my U-Line flash EH when I pressed the keys? Showroom mode was on, possibly without you knowing, and your key press turned it off.
