On Thermador's under-counter refrigerator-freezer drawers, the display shows SAB for a few seconds when Sabbath mode begins, and the Sabbath light stays on. While it is active, all audible and visual alarms are inactive, including the drawer-open alarm. Holding Sabbath for three seconds ends the mode. Thermador freezer display · also shown as Sabbath mode What to do when SAB shows on the freezer ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting the freezer was put into, often by accident or by the store it came from, rather than a part that broke: a showroom or demo mode that lights the display while the compressor stays off, a fast freeze left running for days, a Sabbath setting that silences the alarms, a control lock, a door alarm reminding you the door stood open. Nothing has worn out, and the freezer's own buttons or manual put it back. ### Usually leads to No repair Press and hold Sabbath for three seconds to leave the mode. ### Shows up as Freezer Alarm Beeping A freezer alarm beeping keeps sounding, from a short chirp that repeats to a steady tone, often with a flashing light or a temperature on the display that is higher than it should be. ### Make Thermador Thermador freezers repaired on site when they run warm, frost over or keep sounding off. ### Source Thermador refrigerator freezer drawers use and care guide 9001700387, Sabbath Thermador under-counter refrigerator-freezer drawers T24UC925DS, T24UC915DS and T24UC905DP (use and care guide 9001700387). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Thermador's own guidance for SAB on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Press and hold Sabbath for three seconds to leave the mode. 02 Check that the drawer-open alarm and display lights work again afterwards. 03 Book a visit if the drawers stay in Sabbath mode or the controls do not respond. ### Cleared? The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem. ### What not to do SAB does not indicate a problem and the drawers keep cooling. Because alarms are silenced in this mode, a warm freezer drawer will not warn you, so check it by hand if food seems soft. ## What you may notice with it.
