Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for oF on its freezers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Look at the display: if it reads oF instead of a temperature, the column is in Cooling Off mode rather than broken. 02 On an 18-inch model, press and hold Ice Maker, Override and Filter Reset together for 5 seconds; on wider columns the manual names Cocktail Ice, Standard Ice and Filter Reset. Clear Control Lock first if its light is on. 03 Once the current temperature shows again, keep the door closed and move food back only after the column is cold; book a visit if oF returns by itself or the cabinet stays warm. ### Cleared? The freezer is holding its temperature again and no part had to be replaced. If the same code comes back within a few days, or the packages start to soften again, book it as a fresh problem. ### What not to do oF is a setting, not a sign of a failed compressor or board. Look at the display: if it reads oF instead of a temperature, the column is in Cooling Off mode rather than broken. ### Why does my new Dacor column freezer say oF and never get cold? Columns sometimes leave the showroom or the warehouse with Cooling Off mode still active. In that mode the fan and cooling stay off while the panel looks normal. Turning the mode off with the button combination in the manual restores cooling. ### Which buttons clear oF on an 18-inch Dacor freezer column? On the 18-inch model the combination is Ice Maker, Override and Filter Reset, held together for 5 seconds.
