Bertazzoni freezer columns show Error Code with a number for functional problems the owner cannot solve. Touching the Alarm button shows the message with its number for 3 seconds, and the info button holds it for 30 seconds; several messages appear one after another. Bertazzoni freezer display · also shown as Error Code followed by a number What to do when Error Code... shows on the freezer ### Kind of code Control board and communication The boards that run the freezer stopped talking to each other, or one of them failed: the main control lost the display panel, or a board reported a problem of its own. A connector loosened by a move and a harness damp from condensation are checked before a board is ordered by model number. Built-in columns and undercounter freezers lean on their electronics more than a basic chest freezer does. ### Usually leads to Freezer control board and alarm repair Repairing the electronic control, display, door switch and sensors that run a modern freezer, including a temperature alarm that sounds without reason or never sounds at all. ### Shows up as Standalone Freezer Not Freezing A standalone freezer not freezing shows it on a thermometer long before the food goes soft: packages give under your thumb, a tub of stock is slush at the center, and the cabinet air feels cool rather than biting. ### Make Bertazzoni Bertazzoni freezers looked at in the home, with the door seal and the temperature it actually holds checked first. ### Source Bertazzoni Built-in Columns Freezer user manual (REF18FCIP, REF24FCIP, REF30FCIP /23) Bertazzoni REF18FCIP, REF24FCIP and REF30FCIP freezer columns (/23 series, Professional, Master and Heritage). Touch the Alarm button, then the info button to hold the message, and write down every number shown. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How do I read the number behind Error Code on a Bertazzoni column? Touch Alarm to show it for 3 seconds, or press info to keep it on screen for 30 seconds. If there are several, they appear in turn. ### Does Bertazzoni publish what each error number means? No. The manual only says it is a functional problem for service. The number is for the technician. ### Should I restart my Bertazzoni freezer when Error Code appears? Bertazzoni suggests silencing messages that appear during start-up and leaving the column running for 10 to 12 hours with few door openings. A message that returns after that needs a visit. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni Error Code... on a freezer column: a numbered problem report](https://freezerrepair.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-error-code/)** **[Book a visit with FreezerRepair.center](https://freezerrepair.center/schedule/)**
