We work on Marvel MLFZ224, MOFZ224 and MPFZ424 undercounter freezers and older ML24FA models. The model and serial plate inside the cabinet tells us which control and code set apply. ### Short display codes Current models show HH for high temperature, LL for low temperature and dr for a door left open. Older ML24FA units used lit indicators and EL or Ed for failed sensors instead. ### A slow door alert On current models the door alert waits 30 minutes before dr and the tone start, much longer than on the older ML24FA. A drawer basket that keeps the door slightly open can go unnoticed for a while. ### Built for heavy loads The MLFZ224 is tested to hold up to 200 pounds of frozen goods on full-extension baskets. Overloaded baskets that block the air openings can make a freezer run warm. ### Indoor, outdoor and Professional lines The MOFZ224 is designed for outdoor use, and the Professional line has its own control guide. We match the manual to the model before reading any code. Parts Sensors, controls and door parts differ between the current touch-control models and the older ML24FA. Marvel lists a 1-year parts and labor warranty and a 5-year sealed system parts warranty on the MLFZ224. Repair or replace Sensor, control and door repairs on a built-in Marvel are usually worth it. HH means the compartment has been warmer than the setting for a long time, and LL means colder. Marvel asks you to contact service if either one persists. ### My older Marvel shows Ed. What should I do? Ed on the ML24FA means the defrost sensor failed. Marvel says to unplug the freezer right away and have the sensor replaced to avoid frost buildup and water damage. ### Can a Marvel freezer go outdoors? The MOFZ224 is designed for outdoor use.
